Taibah Junior school is a non- denominational institution that caters for all sects like Islam, catholics, Anglicans, Born again, Seventh day Adventists and others.

I greet you in the name of our lord. I feel greatly honoured as I address all about the issue that Taibah Junior school is an Islamic founded school as many think, I want to say No.

Taibah Junior school is a non- denominational institution that caters for all sects like Islam, catholics, Anglicans, Born again, Seventh day Adventists and others. The christians at Taibah Junior school are offered equal opportunities to worship. This is evidenced in activities like: allowing them to attend the holy communion and confirmation lessons, dedication prayers for the primary seven candidates and conducting Religious education lessons.

We collaborate with St. Kizito catholic parish Bwaise and St. Peter’s church Bubajjwe for Anglicans so as to ensure that the above is attained successfully.

As a christian at Taibah Junior school, you need to cherish and observe the following key values:

· Generosity: offering to God and to giving to others without expecting returns.

· Empathy: Imagining what one goes through if one were in other’s shoes and helping others to meet their needs.

· Love: Loving others as one loves oneself.

· Appreciation: Being thankful to God and to others for their good deeds to us.

By the way, we should not forget that this is the lent season. A period when Christians dedicate themselves and renew their faith in God world over. During this period, Christians are supposed to practice the following: repenting, fasting, alms giving and Praying frequently.

What each of us has done and still do as a christian in order to ensure a meaningful lent period is known by you as an individual.

In conclusion, as the lent period comes closer to the end, allow me to wish every one a merry Easter celebration as we tirelessly continue seeking God’s guidance and protection, Be Blessed!
