During the fifth week of the second term of school, my class, Year 10 Axolotls was assigned to present a skit based on the theme of the week – Careers. During that week, there were a few things I learned. I realised that people choose career paths due to different reasons, it could be because of financial stability, job security and even personal fulfilment. Among all of these different reasons, the ones that stood out to me the most were passion and parental influence.
I believe our parents play an important role in such major decisions of our lives because they impart values and aspirations onto us as they provide us with guidance. I also believe that the more passionate you are about a certain career path, the more likely you are to excel in it and find satisfaction in your work. With that being said, what career path do you want to follow?
