DEAR Day is one of the most important days of the year in our school. DEAR stands for Drop Everything and Read. This day is recognized internationally and it was held on 15th March 2024. On this day, we were revising for midterm one exams in our class after the first paper until matron Moreen entered the classroom to serve us mid-break, after mid-break, those in the sweeping Rota were busy tidying up the classroom until they rang the bell for class, then we entered. DEAR Day which was meant to begin at 1:00 p.m. internationally was interrupted in our school by the midterm exam. We therefore adjusted and started at 11:30 a.m. because we had an exam at 1:45 p.m.

Like a soldier suspecting an attack, everybody was equipped with a reader waiting for only the sound of a gong. By the time the bell was sounded, some of us had gone as far as mid chapter one.

At the end after thirty minutes, a bell was sounded again to signal the end of it. DEAR Day was loved by everyone.
