ELECTION OF SCHOOL PREFECTS

In Taibah International School-Junior, we usually have an election of prefects in term two. This time round all those who wished to stand on post were supposed to be nominated fellow learners and seconded by teachers and parents. We went through the nomination process, and most of the aspirants went through. Candidates presented their manifestos, posters, banners, and fliers. The following days were for campaigns. For the post of Library prefect, we were 8 contestants I presented a very good manifesto and later I managed to win the race.

On 29th June 2023, the pupils of Taibah International School had an opportunity to vote in the prefects of their Choice. Some lost and others won.

The swearing-in ceremony was scheduled for 28th July 2023, and the Guest of honour on this day was the Headteacher, Mrs Madinah Mugenyi, I was among the new prefectorial body and sworn in. I am honoured and privileged to be the library prefect (2023- 2024.)

My slogan reads, “Open a book and open your mind”. I pledge to serve to the best of my ability during my term of service.
