PALM SUNDAY

Palm Sunday was a wonderful event with all Christians celebrating the coming of Jesus to Jerusalem. In Taibah, Palm Sunday was a magical event by Catholics waving their palm leaves praising the Lord. I was walking along with the priest and holding the holy water. We then entered the church and listened to the readings. But the most important reading was when Jesus entered the city and had his final meal with his disciples when one of them was going to betray him and this was Judas Iscariot. Judas had to betray Jesus for only thirty (30) pieces of silver according to the priest. During that last supper, Jesus took bread and said, “This is my body that will be given out for you for the forgiveness of sins.” The priest said. After that Jesus again took a cup and said, “This is my blood that will be poured out for many for the new and eternal covenant, do this in memory of me.” Then the priest gave his final blessings and the mass ended.
