PRESIDENTIAL OUTGOING SPEECH.

Dear Ladies and gentlemen,

I thank God for allowing me to see this day. For those who don’t know today marks a momentous occasion for me and my outgoing senate body. As the outgoing Senate president of this esteemed school, I stand before you with a mixture of pride, nostalgia, and gratitude. When I first joined Taibah, I never dreamed that I could one day be in this position, I remember my first day very clearly, we were having the first assembly in the dining, and for the first time in my life, I saw two students standing in front of a crowd with confidence leading the school through the school prayer and anthem. I was stunned and never in a million years would I have thought that in four years to come would I be those students.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the students, teachers and parents who placed their trust in me to lead this incredible community. Your support and belief in our shared vision have been the driving force behind our accomplishments. Each of you has contributed in your own unique way, bringing diverse perspectives, talents, and passions to the table. Together, we have created a vibrant and inclusive environment that fosters personal and intellectual growth. During my tenure, I and the senate have strived to uphold the values that define us as a community—that is the 5cs ‘Confidence, Communication, Care for the community, Creativity and finally Critical thinking. We have embraced diversity, fostering an environment where every voice is heard and valued. Through our actions, we have shown that leaders are not confined to positions but are individuals who inspire and uplift others.

To the incoming senate body, as we stand on the precipice of a new chapter in our lives, let us carry the spirit of leadership that we have cultivated here. Each one of us has the power to make a difference in our respective fields, to bring about positive change in our communities, and to leave a lasting impact not only on school but also on the world. Remember that true leadership extends far beyond the boundaries of our time here. It is a lifelong commitment to serving others, standing up for what is right, and striving for excellence in everything we do.

And last but not least a message to the school, while our paths may diverge, I encourage you to remain connected and supportive of one another. The friendships we have forged within these walls are invaluable. Lean on each other, celebrate each other's successes, and offer a helping hand when needed. Together, we can continue to inspire, encourage, and uplift each other as we navigate the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead.

In closing, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as your president. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am confident that the future holds endless possibilities for each and every one of you.

As we embark on this new phase of our lives, let us carry the lessons we have learned, the friendships we have forged, and the memories we have created. May we approach the world with open minds, compassionate hearts, and an unwavering belief in our ability to make a positive impact. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey. May success and fulfilment be your constant companions as you go forth and conquer new horizons.
