SIPI FALLS

On 7th December 2022, my family members and I set off from our home in Wakiso very early for Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa. Sipi Falls is a series of three falls found at the foothills of Mount Elgon in Eastern Uganda. My daddy is a very good driver, he got us there before sunset, and we were able to see at least one set of falls (85m long, Ngasire) with the help of our tour guide, Mr Chebet.

We slept at Sipi Valley Resort. We had a good night in the hills. We had great breakfast like kings, then set off for the day’s adventure. We saw many valleys, hills, big trees, and two more falls, and took magical pictures. We also saw men dancing as they were going for circumcision. We ate a lot of chips and chicken. We also visited the high-altitude stadium for athletics.

In the evening, we saw the unique sunset and headed for our campfire for our last night. The next day, we came back to Wakiso. I thank God for my parents and brothers who made this trip memorable.
