Technology in the Kitchen

I like exposition because we learn many new things and teach them to others.

This year our theme was technology in the kitchen.


We learnt about cooking in the traditional kitchen and the things used by people of long ago to prepare food. Food was mainly prepared using firewood and the charcoal stove. A few people used the kerosene stove.


Over time, technology has changed and now the modern kitchen can use various types of machines to make preparation of food easier.


One can now cook using different forms of energy like gas, solar or electricity.

Many appliances have been developed to aid cooking in the modern kitchen for example; Electric and gas cookers, solar aided cookers, ovens, Microwave, air frier, deep frier, refrigerator, blender.

It was fun learning how each of them works.
