Time management throughout your school life is argueably one of the toughest challenges you'll face.
It gets harder when assignments pile up and you would like to take part in school activities, chat with friends and do things you love.
To help you get into a habit of using your time wisely, here are four ways to improve your time management skills.
1. Find out when you’re most productive.
Figure out the time period of the day at which your most productive. Schedule your important tasks for those hours and the easier ones for when you dont have energy. This act of playing to your strengths will improve your time management skills.
2. Make a schedule.
Get everything you need to do out of your head and onto a page. This frees your mind. Plus, you get a good endorphin hit when you cross something off after completing it.
3. Prioritize your tasks.
If you have a big list of things that need to get done, it’s good practice to focus on tasks that need immediate attention.
Anything that is unimportant can be done later on so that it doesn’t chew into your precious time.
For schoolwork, what takes top priority could simply be the one that has the closest due date.
4. Set a deadline.
Speaking of due dates, setting a deadline is a good way to get better at time management. There’s nothing like a looming deadline to stop you from procrastinating and getting your work done.
