WOMEN’S DAY
The 8th of March was a special day. The best day known to man. We woke up early and got ready for the day. On that day, we had an assembly where we got to know the most powerful woman today. Yes, even our mothers are powerful but these other women hold public offices. We for example saw the current President of Tanzania, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, The Prime Minister of Uganda and leader of government business, Hon: Robina Nabanjja, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs, Hon: Rebecca Alitwaala Kadaaga, The Speaker of Parliament, Hon: Anita Anet Among, The Inspector General of Government (IGG), Hon: Beti Kamya, Tr. Judy, The Head Teacher of Taibah International School-Primary among others. It was really an interesting assembly and we learnt so much. If you research about women, you will realize how important women are in the world. “What a man can do, a woman can do better.” This is very true because nowadays women do everything. They work as security personnel, they are in The Health Sector, Education, Transport, Politics, Agriculture, Banking and Finance, and Business, without forgetting their natural major role of childbearing and taking care of everyone at home and the society at large. Men need to be very thankful to God for women because, without them, life would be very complicated.
